Igloo Stay In India: One Of My Best Trips Ever (One of its kind)

I have been traveling for quite a while now, but my Manali Igloo Stay trip was one of its kind. While Instagramming, I saw some Igloos in Manali, DMed them instantly and booked my Igloo for a night. It was on March 15, 2019.

How to reach Igloo Stay

I live in Agra but we don’t have any direct bus from Agra to Manali, so we booked our bus from Delhi via Red Bus. It’s a 14 hours journey from Delhi to Manali and we reached there at around 8 am. The Manali Igloo Stay people have their own hotel named Keylinga, so our one-night stay was booked in the same. So, that day we basically relaxed in our rooms and enjoyed the lovely weather on the terrace of the hotel.

Next morning our taxi was at the hotel to pick us for Igloo stay. Also, they gave us some heavy jackets, lowers and snow boots for the Igloos. It took us some 1.5 hours from the hotel Keylinga to Igloo Stay which includes some 1-hour snow drive and 30 minutes of a trek down.

Snow Drive to Manali Igloo Stay

Wo kehte hain na, Journey is Beautiful than the destination, bas it was the same case with this trip. The snow drive from the hotel to the trekking point was just outstanding. It was the month of March but there was snow all around and our jeep was running on the snow with all white snow on either side. It was completely the feeling of the movie ‘Jab We Met’, absolutely mesmerizing.

It was around 50 minute’s drive and then it was a trek down for 30 minutes which was again very interesting, full of snow everywhere.  After walking down on the snow for some time, we saw our Igloos and the excitement was on the next level by then.

Igloo Was Mesmerizing

Seeing the igloos for the very first time was amazing. We were super excited and thrilled to see them. Well after reaching there, we were served some hot tea and pakoras with loads of love. They had a separate tent as their kitchen and another one as the dining area of the movie theatre. They had a projector for those who want to watch a movie in a tent surrounded by the snow.manali igloo stay

After that, we did some of the snow sports like skiing and tire slide and then went inside our igloos to take some rest. Actually, I so wanted to get into the igloo and see how the experience is. Our igloos were very well bedded with all the necessary beddings. Also, they told us that they will be giving another bedding and a hot water bottle in the night to keep our feet warm.

After taking rest for a while we got up and went into the dining room for the evening and some rum-shum which was highly required because it was -14 degrees of temperature.

Ya fir yuk eh lo ki peene walo ko peene ka bahana chahiye 😊

Bonfire added a spark to the entire mahaul <3 <3

The cherry on the cake was the snowfall late night at 11.30 and all of us started dancing around with joy. It was such an amazing feeling which cannot be described in words. You better watch my video below to get the exact feel of my trip to Igloo Manali Stay.
